September 2004 Archives

As befitting my ongoing obsession with my automobile, my turbo timer (HKS Turbo Timer Type-1) is now installed.

There's a new Crypto-Gram today.

My favorite quote:
"As counterintuitive as it may seem, it's smarter security to randomly screen people than it is to screen solely based on profile."

I'm obsessed with my car.

I purchased a Used System 10 Head unit (original tape/CD/radio) to replace the sony radio/cd player that is currently installed (it has a broken >> button, and no tape player means no ipod via tape adaptor).

So, today I looked at installing it, but it looks like the previous owner spliced into the existing harness to install the current unit. Fortunately, the connectors are still there, so I should be able to put it together correctly.

It's going to take a little more time than I have now, however.

Oh well. I need more weekend projects anyways I suppose :)

I should really also:
1. Change the oil in the car (time for some Mobile 1)
2. Get the missing parts and wire in my intercooler fan
3. Replace the rear differential mount cushion
4. Buy tools (mmm tools)

Thanks to constant pestering from P, I finally went to an SCCA event.

It was a blast.

Paulis managed to take a few pictures of me (and I stole them from his website).

Were you as irritated with Zell Miller's speech as I was?

Then you should listen to this.

Just a link to a description of how to install an intercooler fan on a Toyota Celica Alltrac (ST185). I'll be doing something very similar soon (I have almost all of the parts I need, I'll probably pick up the rest tomorrow ... it shouldn't take too long to get it running).
