Parking Dangers

While I was at Macworld, I had my car parked by Jared's house. He was kind enough to take me to the airport and pick me up when I came back.

Unfortunately, someone (or something?) hit my car while it was there.

/sigh/ oh well ...

That stinks, that almost the exactly the same thing that happened to my car a couple of weeks ago.

That sucks ... it is a good thing your family deals in cars ... what type of Toyota is it? The lights make it look like a Celica ... BTW, in the pic you can see your Apple sticker ... nice ;)

It's a 2000 Toyota Celica GTS.

You can still get vinyl static stickers like that from The Missing Bite.

That really sucks. Will insurance cover it? I feel so bad for your baby...

(Speaking of babies, how are the bad kitties?)

It counts as a collision where I am not at fault (it would be covered totally by the 'property damage' part of insurance for the person who hit me, but I don't know who did).

Since I'm obviously irresponsible (translation: under 25 and operating a sports car), my deductible is very high so that I don't have to pay super-unreasonable premiums.

So, basically the cost of the repairs is under my deductible (but only by $12).

Mom and Dad told me! So sorry :P Probably some dumb U of M kids in their beamers and benzes... hee hee :P I am glad, at least, that your car decided to get in an accident when you were not in it!!

That sucks. 8^/

It seems like comprehensive should cover it, but I guess not...

If you need a ride while it's getting fixed, give me a holler.

I think it was probably someone with a plow (given how close to the ground the point of impact was).

... but yeah.

It should come from the property damage portion of the insurance on the person who hit me, but since I have no idea who that is ...

I've got my dad's car for the next while (he'll be borrowing cars from work, I guess), so I'm good for rides, but thanks.
